We all make mistakes in our Blog posts every now and then. But when we realize our mistakes, what do we do?
We correct the mistakes by editing the post. But for that purpose many wordpress users follow a tedious procedure. They first log in to their wordpress account, then search for the post, then edit it and publish it.
But to avoid this tiresome procedure, we can use a Quick Edit button/link on the post.
So that is exactly what we are going to learn in this post.
How to add Quick Edit Button ?
Simply open your theme’s single.php file and add this post anywhere inside the loop. Don’t worry, this will only be shown to users that have specific permissions. Average user will not see this button. For example: This link wont appear to a normal visitor.

After implementing this code, you can edit your post directly by 1 click on the post page, instead of accessing Administrator Dashboard.
